Certain advanced beginner, intermediate, pre-pro & professional classes include experiential learning along with guest speakers, talent, field trips and/or opportunities for imagery publication. GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

CREATIVES LEVEL I: BEGINNERS study the basics of ISO/Shutter/Aperture, while focusing on the foundations of composition. Equally important, we explore the importance of the world that surrounds us, such as light, perspective and the emotion of each scenario. *Family Classes allow teens (ages 12+) to accompany an adult to study together, in studio.

CREATIVES LEVEL II: ADVANCED BEGINNERS utilize the basic knowledge of ISO/Shutter/Aperture, manual focus selection and individual camera menu manipulation. while and experimenting with larger concepts such as macro, selective focus, ND filters and various long exposure techniques such as panning.

CREATIVES LEVEL III: INTERMEDIATE students have full working knowledge of the exposure triangle, utilizing their camera in manual mode. We begin to explore various genres & styles, layers of compositional aspects and/or *optional touch upon the values of both workflow & processing, while honing in on the craft.

CREATIVES LEVEL IV: ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE, Pre-Professional Track & Independent Study - maximum 4 students.Students have full working knowledge of the exposure triangle in manual mode. Together we narrow down genres and individual styles of storytelling begin to evolve. Complex composition concepts, along with advanced techniques. The application of techniques in assignments, and/or *optional touch upon the values of both workflow & processing, while honing in on the craft. Smaller class sizes.

The CAC of HV will provide a camera for on-site instruction. A flash drive at least 16GB is required for daily image storage and will be returned after the final session. If preferred, you may bring a personal laptop. We require comfortable and weather-related clothing, with a sneakers or a safe flat-soled shoe for outdoor shooting and greaseless outdoor bug spray. . Each participant should bring their own filled drinking bottle, small note pad & pencil. Since regulations state that we can not share a drinking fountain/cooler, bottled water will be available for $1. See FAQ for more details.
