Ages 9 to Adult

Photography can be a powerful path to confidence, focus, and creative expression.

At The CAC of HV, we offer thoughtfully designed classes for homeschool families, students with special needs, and gifted/advanced learners—welcoming children, teens, and adults of all abilities. Whether you prefer one-on-one instruction, a small group setting (1–6 participants), or learning alongside a parent or caregiver, each experience is intentionally tailored to individual goals and learning styles.

Classes take place on our grounds or on location, blending technical foundations with hands-on exploration. A two-hour introductory session begins the journey, allowing us to personalize curriculum and pacing to best support each participant.

Optional field trips and experiential learning opportunities expand creative growth beyond the studio. Self-direction participants are welcome; invoice plans and FI tuition billing are accepted (please inquire).

This is more than a class—it’s a supportive, adaptable environment where every learner can build skills, grow artistically, and feel seen.

Private & Semi Private: Ages 9 to Adult

Personal. Focused. Designed entirely around you.

Work one-on-one for the most individualized instruction we offer, or gather a friend, partner, spouse, or family member for an inspiring semi-private experience (1–4 participants maximum). Each class is thoughtfully tailored to your goals, skill level, and creative interests.

Sessions take place in the studio, across the grounds of the GARNER Historic District, or on-location at a setting meaningful to you. A two-hour introductory lesson begins your journey, allowing us to build a customized plan for growth and exploration.

Optional field trips and experiential on-location opportunities add depth and inspiration along the way.

This is photography education at its most attentive—crafted to meet you exactly where you are and guide you forward with clarity and intention.

Create-a-Class & Friends + Family: Ages 9 to Adult

Family Photography Workshops: Learn Together. Create Together.

Have you ever wished you truly knew how to capture your friends, family, events and/or vacations beautifully—confidently?

In this unique, family-centered photography experience, ages 9+ are invited to explore the art of image-making side-by-side. Younger participants have access to our digital cameras, while friends and family members collaboratively learn what it means to be both behind the lens and in front of it.

These relaxing private workshops are designed to spark creativity, strengthen visual awareness, and deepen connection. Together, you’ll discover your inner artist, build meaningful visual relationships, and begin recognizing those powerful “decisive moments” that turn everyday life into lasting imagery.

It’s more than a class—it’s shared time, shared perspective, and shared creativity.
