REGISTRATION POLICIES
Please check our calendar for the date that your specific session begins. We follow the NRCSD vacation calendar only for closings. All other holidays are at the discretion of the Studio. Contact Deborah Grosmark at (845) 548-5823, if you have any questions.
Online Registration For fast, easy payment and to register for a class, you may sign up online using a major credit card. Our registration form is available, here. Every participant must be registered prior to their first class.
In-Person Registration/Mail
Checks can be made payable, dropped off at the Studio. Please coordinate with Deborah Grosmark by phone or email, as studio hours vary throughout the year.

GENERAL POLICY INFORMATION
Classes
- Please report to the first session of your class, intensive or workshop unless otherwise notified. It is important to check the starting date of your specific course or workshop.
- Tuition is accepted for a full course only. We cannot reduce the price of classes for any reason.
- All applicable fees are required to be paid when registering for a course. These fees cannot be waived for any reason.
- All class sizes are extremely limited. Register early to assure your place in the class, intensive or workshop of your choice.
- The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley reserves the right to refuse admission or expel any disruptive student.
Lateness & Absences - There are no make-ups for missed lessons, workshops or classes. Pro-rating and/or refunds will not given for student absences. If classes are canceled due to instructor and/or inclement weather, classes will be rescheduled.
- Private & Semi-Private lessons: tuition is due at booking to reserve your spot. Cancellations or schedule changes must be made at least 24 hours before your appointed day. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment or a no-show to your appointment will result in forfeiting your lesson. Two excused absences (before 24 hours) will be allowed each semester.
- Classes, Workshops & Lessons: If a teacher contacts a tardy student (or guardian), there is no response and/or the participant has not joined by the 30-minute mark, the class can be marked as “Missed” and will result in forfeiting that lesson.
Cancellation of Courses
- The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley reserves the right to cancel a class or workshop. All courses are subject to minimum enrollment. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the first scheduled class. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund will be granted.
- When courses are cancelled by The CAC for any reason, students may transfer to another course or receive a full refund. The CAC reserves the right to cancel any course for which there is insufficient enrollment and withdraw or modify course offerings, locations, fees, and instructors may also change when necessary.
Class Withdrawals
- At least two weeks or more before the first scheduled meeting, there will be a full refund of tuition minus any materials, models and field trip fees. The Studio withholds a $25 cancellation fee, which includes bank fees. Summer Intensives incur a $35 cancellation fee.
- Within the week before the first scheduled meeting (but not the day class begins) a 50% refund of tuition fee minus any materials, models, and field trip fees. The studio withholds a $25 cancellation fee, which includes bank fees. Summer Intensives incur a $35 cancellation fee.
- Upon the day of the first scheduled class meeting, no refunds-no exceptions.
* Pro-rating and refunds are not given for student absences.
STUDIO Workshop Withdrawals:
- If workshop is canceled by the Studio, student receives a full refund. When possible, the Studio may reschedule the workshop.
- If student withdraws (8) eight or more calendar days before the first session, there will be a full refund, less a $5 registration fee.
- If student withdraws from workshop within (7) seven calendar days before workshop date, there will be a 70% refund of the tuition fee only. Materials and/or model fees cannot be refunded.
- If student withdraws the day of workshop or after the first session in a series, there will be no refund, no exceptions.
Photography Club Membership - Students ages 10-17 may join our photography club. Member benefits include full access to group meetings and regular studio events. All members must be or have been enrolled : past, present or future students. Please inquire if you would like to attend prior to your CAC enrollment. Annual Membership: January 1st through December 31st. - There may be additional costs for events outside of our informal meetings and social events such as: on-location field trips; facility entrance & parking fees; and additional models, talent or special guests. Members are not required to attend special events that incur additional fees. The director has the right to separate any large group into smaller groups, at any time. - Refund minus $25 (includes bank fee) will be given with required written notice by end your first attended meeting. There are no refunds day after attending your first meeting. The director has the right to separate any large group into smaller groups, at any time. Field trips and special events fall under the same category as workshops.
School Closings
We will follow the North Rockland School District for the cancellation of classes because of severe weather conditions. District announcements can be heard on WHUD 100.7. College Credit
Certain internships offered by The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley may be taken for credit. For information about these courses, or about credit at other institutions, check with your particular college registrar. Call The CAC at (845) 548-5823 if you have any questions.
