GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

STUDIO GROUP CLASSES are held inside our professional studio and throughout the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center. Collaboratively, students will explore how to work behind and in front of the lens. Topics include all levels of camera manipulation, composition, perspective and lighting. Through hands-on project-based learning, we will discover how to create visual stories, play various roles and expand on individual artistic vision. Students study as Creatives and can remain Creatives or move into Pre-professional and Independent Study at levels 4 & 5.

CREATIVES LEVEL I: BEGINNERS study the basics of ISO/Shutter/Aperture, while focusing on the foundations of composition. Equally important, we explore the importance of the world that surrounds us, such as light, perspective and the emotion of each scenario.

CREATIVES LEVEL II: ADVANCED BEGINNERS We take a deeper dive into the study of ISO/Shutter/Aperture as while exploring specific camera menu systems. New photographic techniques will be discovered within areas such as macro, long exposure, and selective focus.

CREATIVES LEVEL IV/IV+: ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE, Portfolio, Pre-Professional Track & Independent Study Levels of study dependent on each class, please inquire - maximum 4 students. Students have full working knowledge of the exposure triangle in manual mode. Together we narrow down genres and individual styles of storytelling begin to evolve. Complex composition concepts, along with advanced techniques. The application of techniques in assignments, and/or *optional touch upon the values of both workflow & processing, while honing in on the craft. Smaller class sizes.

If paying tuition via Zelle, Cash or Check register here (do not place courses in your cart): ZELLE REGISTRATION FORM. We will text your confirmation once received.
